Clever Copper
Copper is being used to 'ground' places like Mt Washingtons aerial system and Winter Park in Florida's notorious 'lightening alley', making their essential communication systems not only far safer but actually better quality.

Ode-io!
Join in the fun with our reader participation poem. Send your one liner in answer to this question, 'Fridges - what are you like?' to me and Matt Harvey (aka Empath Man) may include it in his Ode to Fridges.
Did you know three out of every hundred people living in cities are allergic to electricity? Electric wires and mobile phone masts create invisible electromagnetic smog which is linked to depression, miscarriage and cancer! See..
Cleopatra is said to have worn a magnet ring on her head to preserve her legendary charms. But there's a lot more that Magnet Therapy is supposed to do.. See...

We'd heard about junk food, but doctors are now just as troubled by Junk Sleep. Distracted by the number of gizmos in their bedroom, teens are increasingly getting too wired to get the amount of shut eye they need.. See..

Traditional healers often say that the human body is a complex electromagnetic system. Crystals, natural electromagnetic conductors, could actually resonate with the body's energy to heal... See..

We use electromagnetic radiation every day and most of us don't even know it! Microwaves are electromagnetic waves that produce heat by causing molecules to vibrate against one another. See..

Is The Guardian really doing its job?

Ben Goldacre in Saturdays Guardian online does a hatchet job on the source of the previous weekends Daily Express front page headline 'Suicide Linked to Phone Masts'. According to Roger Coghill, who supplied the headline story, the 22 young people who killed themselves in Bridgend, South Wales, all lived closer than average to mobile phone masts. Although a Swedish study has shown that the human brain is affected by Electromagnetic Fields, the UK Government advisor on radiation has accepted the problem and the National Radiological Protection Board is starting a review of the existing evidence, Ben manages to discredit the entire thing because of Mr Coghills apparent lack of hard evidence. Wouldn't it have been better to check the evidence himself? What do you think about electromagnetic pollution? Email me ( Source: guardian, wddty)
Snap..Crackle..and Pop!
But this is not the breakfast cereal as we know it! This is the sound of Carl Munson's electrosmog detector. Think this menace is as invisible as it seems? Listen in as Carl tracks down those particularly electro noisy places in his home...and then wonder what that might be doing to your very own brain (and his for that matter)! (Source: traydio)
Sleepful in Seattle
Patrick Kerney from the Seattle Seahawks attributes his excellent form to an unconventional approach to health. Neutralising nasty free radicals by sleeping under silver-threaded "earthing" sheets plugged into an electrical outlet, allows this to happen as naturally as if you were walking barefoot on the earth, according to Sleeping Earthed, a distributer for this product. Age Defence
As Roger Coghill has been researching the effects of electromagnetic pollution for 25 years or so, and is passionate about making a positive difference, I personally value his contribution and use this product myself. Knowing that melatonin is one of the most effective protectors against free radicals, he set about growing melatonin yielding crops, producing an all natural remedy to our EMF pollution. He keeps the costs down to make it widely available and is delighted the side effects are better sleep, and younger looking skin! Listen to him here.

Consider This
Let me introduce you to Nichola Burton, if you haven't already found out about her. A member of CopperStrings, she is now sharing an abundance of wisdom, which can turn your thinking on its head. Delving into the ancient knowledge of indigenous people's as well as accessing her own depth of understanding, she is a fascinating person to get to know. Dancing Saves the Planet
An Eco-Disco opens in London on 10th July. Dr Earth is about to plug into the grid in Kings Cross with 'Surya', a nightclub where you can make a difference. Apparently the dance floor is unique; combining quartz crystals, ceramics and cutting edge technology to transform the clubbers dancing into energy to help run the Club. Solar power and a wind turbine ensure it's fully sustainable and an advanced alternative energy system will produce surplus energy cleverly donated to local residents! The club is installing the latest air flush, waterless urinals, low flush toilets and automatic taps to ensure maximum water saving plus the latest innovations in ecological air conditioning units. Groovy!

Wi-fi – good or bad?
'Wi-fi is fast becoming the norm in schools with the ever rising risk of radiation exposure, up to six times greater than that found below a radio mast. As a child's skull is thinner than an adults, there is some evidence they absorb more radiation. Through research in the UK and abroad there is some indication of an increase in short term memory loss, low levels of concentration and increases in cancers. However, due to the type of tests that have thus far been carried out, there is a 50/50 split in the Wi-fi research world whilst the International Committee of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection has carried out research and concluded Wi-fi 'has no adverse health effects'. At a frequency of 2.4Ghz (which is the same as a microwave oven) there are concerns about wi-fi in schools, towns and cities and we should all be watching for signs that perhaps we are suffering from the effects of yet another hidden, modern risk.' Happiness Bug
'We are actually living magnets and attract into our lives whatever vibrates at the same level we do...just like electromagnets! So think about your energy and focus, which creates your vibration, what is it attracting? Is it what you want? If not, being more positive will make a huge difference'. Empath Man – Attractive or Repulsive?
"We are all, to some degree electromagnetic, and thus attractive and repulsive in our own unique ways. Remembering this can help us to accept rejection when it comes, and to explain the presence of fridge magnets on our abdomens." We all know animals are far more sensitive to their surroundings than we are, with virtually none being found amongst the devastation of the Boxing Day tsunami several years ago. So perhaps being more in tune with our animals will give us a head start too, particularly when it comes to potential cataclysms. Join Wynter Worsthorne in the UK this coming weekend, or in South Africa.
