Richard Branson leads the way as a significant contributer to world change or as a master marketeer, depending on your viewpoint. This week the 'historic' Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Amsterdam with 20% of the fuel made from coconut and babassu oil was denounced by The Guardian as nothing more than a marketing ploy. Biofuel will never be a solid line of defence against climate change as it displaces the production of staple foods. However, Branson says he doesn't intend to use 1st generation biofuel commercially, but more likely an algae growing in sewage plants. Read Virgin's press release here
Way above and way below zero
Intrepid Sara Haq and Mark Chaplin, have chosen three solid weeks of train travel, including a spell on the Trans-Siberian Express with temperatures plummeting to -30 degrees to make sure their carbon footprints are dainty when they arrive at the i-genius World Summit in hot and humid Phuket, Thailand. A unique event, in five star eco-chic luxury, will facilitate discussions between social entrepreneurs and leaders in government, business investors and NGO's. There's still time if you want to go - it starts on the 14th March. Further information here:

Destiny's Child
Do you have a destiny? Jazz Rasool believes you do. Just follow some simple guidelines. I went to his introductory seminar, prior to the launch of his book The Destiny Point in May, and loved it! This is not another Law of Attraction book, and as Jazz is a scientist he bases his principles on a number of proven concepts - all of it fascinating and inspiring. Check out www.bodymind.co.uk for more information and visit Jazz in www.copperstrings.com where he's set up a 'Destiny Point' Group.
